As part of our commitment to the profession we also offer accounting training
leading to the Level 1, 2 or 3 Certificates of the Institute of Certified Book-keepers (ICB) or the accounting units of the Association of Accounting Technicians(AAT) at Level 2 and 3, as well as computerised accounting using SAGE accounting software.
 
Our courses are run on Saturdays in the Surrey area and are between five or ten weeks long depending on the level being taken.
 
We also recognise that after the training most students will want to utilise the knowledge in paid employment and for this purpose we also provide guidance on
how to look for employment and how to conduct yourself at interviews.

A brief outline of each level of the course is as shown below:
 
Level 1 - Principles of double- entry book-keeping,business documents,ledger accounts, security of data, credit control and the trial balance.
 
Level 2- Vat returns, Cash Books, Reconciliation of Sales and Purchase ledger control accounts, Correction of errors, Bank reconciliation statements,Trading Profit and Loss account for a sole trader as well as Balance Sheet, Year end ledger entries.
 
Level 3 - Trial Balance adjustments and the extended trial balance,Disposal of Fixed assets, Partnership accounts, Manufacturing accounts and Limited Liability Company and Partnership accounts, Stock control, Incomplete records and Data protection
 
SAGE accounting
Hands on training on maintaining the Sales Ledger,Purchase Ledger & Nominal Ledger, Bank reconciliations, Accruals and Prepayments,VAT reports,Year end
and Period end repots,Trial Balance and Financial Statements.
